Patricroft Methodist Church, Eccles

Patricroft church contacted HeatinGlobal with the task of cutting running cost and zoning off areas of the church.

The church is used every day of the week by various groups and meetings so a system was designed to meet everybody’s needs. The existing floor standing boiler was situated in the boiler house which was broken down into sections and removed. The boiler had been converted from oil to gas some time ago so there was a lot of mess to keep under control. The old fluing system that rose above the church building was also removed and the existing hole was bricked up to give a professional finish. We decided on three new Keston 55 boilers to heat a total of 5 zones throughout the church which work with great effect. The system was chemically tested before the final commission and three new filter systems was fitted to ensure the system runs clean and clear all year round. The old timers was also removed and replaced with new digital seven day timers that only church wardens have the key for to make alterations.

St. George’s Church, Stalybridge

St Georges church came to HeatinGlobal with an extremely tight budget and needed a lot of changes making to their current heating system to reduce running cost and maximize what they already had. The church was currently heated by a floor standing potterton heat only boiler. The heating system was not zoned into areas and was not controlled other than with an on/off switch. Based on the budget the church gave us we was able to supply and fit two new keston 55 heat only boilers and zone the system off into areas. The church now has controllable room and frost stat along with a two zone clock. The church heating system was power flushed out to remove all the black sludge water that had built up through the years, We also fitted new TF1 filters on both boilers to ensure a nice clean system all year round. The warm up time in church has now been slashed from 8 hours to just an hour and half.
